Teeth Cleaning

During this prophylaxis session, we will thoroughly clean, polish and remove the hardened plaque (or tartar) from your teeth. Dr Elie Gemaa will then examine your teeth and gums for signs of tooth decay, gum disease and other oral health problems. If any issues are discovered, he will offer advice on how to improve your oral health.

For most patients, we recommend seeing us every six months. If you’ve been putting off going to the dentist, call us today to get your oral health on the right track!

Caries Treatment

Cavities are permanently damaged areas in the hard surface of your teeth that develop into tiny openings or holes. Cavities, also called tooth decay or caries, are caused by a combination of factors, including bacteria in your mouth, frequent snacking, sipping sugary drinks, and not cleaning your teeth well.

If cavities aren’t treated, they get larger and affect deeper layers of your teeth. They can lead to severe toothache, infection and tooth loss.

At Smile Creators Dental Clinic, Dr Elie Gemaa uses the latest technology to detect caries. With Proface , caries excavation is more reliable than with traditional tools.

Treatment of cavities depends on how severe they are and your particular situation. In most cases, if detected in early stages, tooth colored fillings are the main treatment option. Since we know well that amalgam (known as silver fillings) are toxic, we only use at our clinic metal free-fillings.

Single Crowns

If you have extensive decay or weakened teeth, you may need a crown — a custom-fitted covering that replaces your tooth’s entire natural crown. Dr Elie Gemaa will drill away all the decayed area and enough of the rest of your tooth to ensure a good fit.

At Smile Creators Dental Clinic, Dr Gemaa will give you many treatment options including porcelain-fused to metal crowns and Zirconia crowns and will explain all the advantages and disadvantages of each technique.

Dentures

If your smile is incomplete, we can create partial or complete dentures for you. Whether full or partial, dentures are removable appliances that can stand up to a variety of foods and drinks. With proper care, dentures from Smile Creators Dental Clinic will last a long time.

Tooth Extraction

If you have a tooth that is severely damaged, it may need to be removed. Extraction is necessary when decay or an abscessed tooth is so severe that no other treatment will cure the infection. Removing the tooth will help keep infection from spreading to other areas of your mouth.

We will make sure that you are as comfortable as possible before, during and after the procedure. Having a tooth pulled can leave a gap that allows your other teeth to shift. If possible, consider getting a bridge link or a dental implant link to replace the missing tooth.
